Long ago and far away, I wrote a magical tune called Come What May with incredibly talented guitarist/composer Bernhard Locker. It was late, 10 or 11 pm, we were at Stagg Street Studios in Van Nuys, we had just completed recording two songs with the band and everyone was packing up to go home, chit chatting in the control room, and Bernie started playing this guitar piece.....and then everything became an echo except Bernie's guitar and the melody and lyrics in my head. I think the engineer's name was Franz?? and I asked him if he could quickly put up a mic. Bernie kept playing while the mics were set up.... he stopped a few times, fiddled around with a different progression and then went back to his original idea......I asked Franz to start recording and then I put on my headphones, closed my eyes, set my mouth close to the Neumann, took a breath, and we disappeared into the land of magic! ahhh those moments are such gifts from the universe! The song has never been properly released so today I am releasing it for all the world to share.
